@bongborin You couldn’t find a road bike from Trek that cheap.

DMB206 July 20, 2010 at 10:06 pm

@Change438 Yeah you’re right. He’s really stiff

Streetracingpunk72 July 20, 2010 at 10:35 pm

@Change438 Yeah, he’s very rigid. Must burn a lot of energy trying to keep the bike from rocking. However, at the end of the day, it comes down to comfort. Everyone is different and it seems to be working fine for him, which is really all that matters.

bongborin July 20, 2010 at 10:44 pm

@ajxcman
yes it is. =D
I just check on google.
Thank you.
Anyone selling a Trek road bike around $200?

destructicon500 July 20, 2010 at 11:09 pm

@Change438 No you’re right I wasn’t really paying attention to the context of the video. Climbing is different, I thought we were just talking about “the wobble” in general like on flat sprints

Change438 July 20, 2010 at 11:28 pm

@destructicon500 look, I’m tired of replying. track cycling is totally different from climbing, just please look up videos on climbing technique, dont take my word for it… if you raced bikes you would understand

ajxcman July 21, 2010 at 12:13 am

@bongborin im thinking that it looks like a cervelo p1

bongborin July 21, 2010 at 12:32 am

At 1:07 what kind of bike is that in the front?
Carvelo?

destructicon500 July 21, 2010 at 12:56 am

@Change438 At the same time though, you don’t see track cyclists doing “the wobble”

Change438 July 21, 2010 at 1:28 am

@downfader2 nope, it takes more energy and power to do that, just try it yourself, it feels completely unnatural. Check out guys from the tour, and other pro cyclists, you wont find any of them not rocking their bikes when they are out of the saddle. efficiency up hill is all about staying relaxed, and I feel, especially when I’m just grinding up the climbs yanking up with my thighs especially, that its good to almost throw yourself up the hill, and maintain that momentum

downfader2 July 21, 2010 at 2:04 am

@Change438 I disagree. The guy in the white is more inefficient as he’s losing power in the side sway/wobble. The green guy is more controlled and all his power is going into the cranks. I think his arms/body are fine, they look stiff because he isnt swaying when infact they’re prolly quite limber.

Change438 July 21, 2010 at 2:30 am

@13tarmac pretty sure, I’m a fairly good climber. at least I know I have better technique than him, but I cant really know obviously you cant really judge the grade of the hill… but you can see quite clearly, just compare the arm movement of the two riders, white vs green. its way too stiff, and a very inefficient technique

13tarmac July 21, 2010 at 3:23 am

nice video. but shouldnt all this be intuitive. and those guys look like they are climbing fairly fast.

13tarmac July 21, 2010 at 3:48 am

@Change438 you really think you can do better?

HIYA67 July 21, 2010 at 4:27 am

zach00attack July 21, 2010 at 7:36 am

@unsczombie pffft nobody uses reflectors. just ride visible. and if you’re riding at night THEN u can use lights.

unsczombie July 21, 2010 at 8:27 am

@zach00attack Maybe so he isn’t killed while riding?

ucipro1991 July 21, 2010 at 8:53 am

@abejorromostachon absolutly

abejorromostachon July 21, 2010 at 9:47 am

@ave2timeslip I guess that there is a mistake there. In order to achieve a more circular pedalling, you need to change that angle…

Futteklap July 21, 2010 at 10:34 am

Wow, now Contador doesn´t have a change against me:)

ave2timeslip July 21, 2010 at 10:48 am

Many obvious points, but fixing the feet/lower leg angle was new to me.
Didn’t pay attention to it, that’s for sure.
