On my bicycle the rear wheel has 4 broken spokes. I was wondering what would be cheaper replacing the spokes or a new wheel?

if you are able to do it yourself definitely the spokes will be cheaper. if not you’ll need to ask at the shop how much they charge.
Where I live, get quotations form the local bike shops, and likely the spoke replacement will be cheaper if you DIY
Spokes are cheaper even if the shop replaces them.
First, you have to figure out why 4 spokes have broken. If the rim is too far out of true, even replacing the broken spokes may not fix the problem, if you can’t get spoke tension fairly equal, spokes may break again. Once a rim has been permanently deformed, it has to be replaced. This is fine if your hubs are really good quality, but if they are not, replacing the whole wheel may be more economical. Replacing spokes won’t cost as much, but if you have to do it over and over, a new wheel is cheaper.
