I am the owner of a patent for a full suspension bicycle (free-ride mountain bike) - patented 1997.
I intend to prepare the pre-production phaze for my invention and to bring this concept on the market.
I have already built a working prototype based on my patent but there is far more to do until to become a real market product.
At this time I do not have the financial possibilities to sustain by myself such a project.
What should I do to promote my new bicycle concept?

start out on the local scene.
Get together a race team, and do some races. Get seen on the bike.
I had friend start a bike company (singlespeed), got a team together for a 24 hr relay, got a tent there, gave a prize bike away (giveaway)…
Next year, his booth was bigger, there were two teams, and sales are great! I’ve seen a few of them downtown too!
The non-megacorporate bike community is a niche, and best way in is to be seen and heard by those in it.
Ever consider a venture capitalist? If its a good idea, and you’re willing to give up some control…
