• July 12 --- The first-annual General Butler Off-Road Duathlon (for teams or solo) at General Butler State Resort Park, Carrollton, Ky.--- Preregistration is recommended. However, on-site (i.e., day of race) registration opens at 8 a.m. and race starts at 10 E.S.T.
• 2-mile Trail Run-->10-mile Trail Bike-->2-mile Trail Run
• The trails will be open the day prior to the race.

Solo Categories:

• In addition to the above solo categories, we have RELAY TEAM Categories: Coed Team, Women's Team, and Men's Team.

• Run is on hiking trails. Biking is on a combination of single- and double-track mountain bike race course, most of which was established 10 to 20 years ago. Distances are approximate and subject to change.

• If weather conditions necessitate, the event will be delayed or modified. No refunds will be given due to modifications or cancellation.

• Athletes must sign a liability waiver before riding or running. Anyone under 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

• Medals or trophies to top finishers. Merchandise and gift certificates are given to the top female and male, and the rest goes as doorprizes.

• Event shirts or caps to first 50 who preregister.

• After-race snacks for everyone.

• On-site accomodations include park lodge, furnished cottages, and full-service camping next to the lake.

• "Day-of" registration is available, and it opens at 8 a.m. Start-time is 10 a.m. (EST).

• "Day-of" registration fee is $50 for solo and $70 for relay teams. Subtract $10 if preregisteristering -- it must be received by July 5, 2009.
