• July 15 --- The14th-annual General Butler Off-Road Triathlon (for teams or solo) at General Butler State Resort Park, Carrollton, KY --- Registration opens at 8 a.m. and race starts at 10 E.S.T.
• .4-mile Lake Swim--> 3-mile Trail Run-->10-mile Trail Bike (in that order)
• The trails will be open the day prior to the race.

Male and female age categories: 15-19 / 20-24 / 25-29 / 30-34 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60+

• In addition to the above solo categories, we have RELAY TEAM Categories: Coed Team, Women's Team, and Men's Team. Teams can be either 2 or 3 athletes. If there are only 2 athletes on your team, one member must do two of the events (e.g., swim and ride, swim and run, run and ride). Any combination is acceptable).

• Swim is out-and-back to the sandy beach of the park's recreational lake. Run is on hiking trails. Biking is on a combination of single- and double-track mountain bike race course, most of which was established 10 to 19 years ago. The events are in that order. Distances are approximate and subject to change.

• If weather conditions necessitate, the event will be delayed or modified. No refunds will be given if cancellation is required.

• Wetsuits are not allowed if the water temperature exceeds 71 degrees F.

• Athletes must sign a liability waiver before riding or swimming. Anyone under 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

• Medals or trophies to top finishers. Merchandise and gift certificates are given to the top female and male, and the rest goes as doorprizes.

• $480 in CASH PURSES for top solo finishers:

• Female and male with best swim time each receive $60.
• Female and male with best run time each receive $60.
• Female and male with best bike time each receive $60.
• Female and male with best total time each receive $60.

• Event shirts or caps to all who preregister.

• After-race snacks for everyone.

• On-site accomodations include park lodge, furnished cottages, and full-service camping next to the lake.

• "Day-of" registration is available, and it opens at 8:00 a.m. Start-time is 10:00 a.m. (EST).

• "Day-of" registration fee is $70 for solo and $140 for relay teams. Subtract $10 if preregisteristering -- it must be received by July 6, 2007.
